| Hello friends, here is a quick recap of my last several months. Obviously, if I tried to recount all the amazing things that have happened, first, you'd get bored, and second, I'd get bored and not finish this. So here are a few highlights, underscored by pictures, that I hope illustrate a bit of what my last semester has been like.
First and most importantly, Rebecca and I got married. Yay for Life! It has been an amazing adventure so far. We've learned all sorts of things, and we continue to do so on a daily basis. It's amazing how stretching an experience married life is. So far so AMAZING!
Next, WJB decided that if anyone deserved to be crowned king of homecoming, it should be himself. We were happy to do the honors.
Of course, what would life be without some Rook here and there. Finding opponents is much more difficult these days, so we are willing to offer dinner or dessert (hades, possibly even a bed) to anyone who is able to come up and play us!
Knoxville may not have that much beauty to offer, but two hours down the road are the Smokey Mountains, and we beasted Charlie's Bunion one fine Fall day.
One important discovery of married life is how to pout. Here I am giving my best poochy lips and puppy eyes. Yeah, with that face Rebecca can't resist me, and you know what, I bet you couldn't either!
God blessed Rebecca with a wonderful job as a bank teller. I was so happy I bought her some roses! Isn't she beautiful!
My faithful companion and friend of 6 years died one cold October day. Not happy to let him RIP, my father in law and I attempted to give it a heart transplant (power supply), but apparently he had suffered a more severe stroke than suspected (motherboard failure), and we are now sadly deprived of his cheerful presence .
Then Father Christmas arrived with a merry "ho ho ho." I shot him. I hate Father Christmas with a passion. Rebecca and I put together our first Christmas tree! It was a lot of work.
Halfway through, we took a break and had some hot chocolate.
To celebrate Rebecca's birthday, I took her up to Gatlinburg for a relaxing evening at a beastly sweet hotel (hotels are so much cheaper off season!).
Isn't she beautiful!!!!
OK, I'm a massive fan of Forrest Gump. I finally got a chance to fill his shoes and hold his box of chocolates! Unfortunately, they were rooted in the ground and I was unable to steal them as I had originally intended.
A well lit Christmas tree warms a home gloriously. This is especially needed when the home in question averages about 62 degrees (heat costs so much money these days, who needs it!?).
Rebecca was honored to be one of April Watson's (formerly Brown) attendants. It was so good to travel to Ohio and reconnect with the friends that were there. I only got one picture the whole time I was there due to a dead battery (I was devastated!). Happily, it turned out great.
Life has been good to us. Of course, we've had our ups and downs, but God has been faithful and we are learning. I don't think I have ever grown this much in so little time. I am so excited about what the future holds for us. Life may not hold perpetual happiness, but there are so many things that would remain hidden if I were only happy. Yay for Life indeed!

| ummm, so I realize I've not written for a. . . long time. I've not had much time lately, but things are going well and there is much love in life. As a matter of fact, I don't have much time right now either because I'm at Mitch's about to head for a swim. However, Rebecca just said something that must be repeated:
"The Bourne Ultimatum will be the highlight of our honeymoon."
"Bah-humbug" I say!
p.s. I'd provide the context, but then, well, it wouldn't be as humorous.
p.p.s. I love you Rebecca
| Shame on people for driving without insurance.
"Why is it that you never get hit by someone who has insurance?"~Rebecca K.
| Alrighty then! I finally have time to post and I really don't have anything all that interesting to say. Well, it's spring break and I'm in FL right now. I'm hopefully about to have a beastly fun time with Alli-Andrew, and April-Jared. Since the last post, I've sprained my ankle, gone to a marriage conference (and survived woohoo!), and found a summer job! Also, Rebecca and I are still getting married!!! Anyway, as you might have noticed, spending all day either researching law on my computer or learning it in books has sapped my xanga enthusiasm. Hopefully I'll be more prolific in the future, but, well, yeah, I'll try. I hope you all are doing fantastic, and a happy new year to all! | | |
